I would love to think we could do something this summer. Any chance Ol' Grizz might want to save his plane tickets for a trip back to the Midwest in late June or early July? I'm sure I could find a place for us to backpack. It would be a unique trip. I might be able to find a few to join us - take a short trek with kids (including Jackson)?
Ron and Jackson are planning to be out this way around late June anyway. Whadda ya say Grizz? I could look into the Porcupine Mountains or something around Sleeping Bear Dunes?

'05 Durango-Silverton – 41 miles of killer hike. 3- 13,000 ft. passes, 10 miles down hill thru 3 major deadfalls from winter avalanches-tough day, finally finished the trip on the narrow gauge railroad to Silverton-lots of thirsty hikers, a few beers fixed that. 5 to survive-Ron Gorr, Steve Fox, David Walker, Kyle Bernharty, Dave Fox , and 3 not to repeat Ron Blair, Ralph Loffler Sr. (bad knees) and Ralph Jr. . Steve did the rescue/messenger to help R&R out.

Loop '04 -Sliver Pass to GoodALE" pass, Ron was sick so we cut the trip short, but Steve & I had great Tequila Jell-O poppers while Ron suffered in his bag. D. Walker & Ron Blair cut it short. Ralph Sr. form New Jersey and Little Ralph from Colorado made their first trip. Great fishing at "Lone Injun" 12 miles the last day and the freaking people still made me make spaghetti for them. I DO NOT FORGET. Hooters! Yea, Hooters! I remember that. Good ale and hooters and a new nickname for Grizz. Lake of the Lone Indian was nice - and remote.

3pass ‘01 This is infamous, Dan (wuss) Fox would not drop over a 5 foot vertical and do a class 3 scramble so his old Dad could finally do Silver pass. Ron Gorr was bought off and went to study Lewis & Clark in the Northwest. This included a great canoe trip ride. I think this could be the root of the reason Dan moved to Costa Rica - he'll never live this down... We also go buzzed by some sort of military jet up a canyon. And Johno had to canoe back to get his shoes

Actually to the Marble Mountains. We hit the PCT - high and dry. And also camped near a Boy Scout Troop - we schooled them in mountain Whiffle Ball.... Also hiked through a couple cow pastures high up in the mountains that were strange. Of course, a highlight came while spending a night in Ashland, OR, and playing street hoops in our sandals until we both had blisters....
